Much of the work I create is commissioned by clients. I truly enjoy the process of collaborating closely with collectors and designers, since I can select each color choice and composition to align beautifully with what they have in mind. My goal when painting a commission is to present a one-of-a-kind piece of art that will tie together all the selected design elements to form a seamless, effortless atmosphere of style.
the process
To begin the commission process, a meeting is scheduled with the client to visit about art preferences, explore ideas, and discuss size, colors, time-line and pricing. Once the decision is made to proceed, Candice sends an email outlining general policies/what to expect, and requires a 20% non-refundable deposit to secure a spot on the commissions list. Turnaround time is usually between 6 weeks and 3 months, and special deadline requests are granted when at all possible. (Please note: portraits in oil require a different timeline and process.
