"Things that grow: flowers, children, relationships. Starting a project from scratch and dreaming of all the possibilities. Taking simple ingredients (paint, canvas, pastels) and making something amazingly beautiful that elevates an entire space, an entire mood. The way that a box of art supplies is just a bunch of stuff until you throw God's gift of creativity into the mix, and then you have potential for major fun! All these things inspire me and I hope to share that inspiration with you. 

I like working big and don't focus too closely on perfect details. I tend to fling paint around as I work, and after the first layers are spread out haphazardly, I quiet down and, working one mark at a time, just let the finishing colors tell me where they want to go. Most of time after a bit of work the artwork has mellowed into a happy composition that feels spontaneous, serene and complete. And I love that! It's that feeling of harmony that I most want to pass on to my collectors."

Candice was born and raised in Jackson, MS. A creator from early childhood, she is completely self-taught and thrives on investigating the world around her and processing what she finds through her art. Her works have been collected nationally and she continues to grow, painting from her studio at home. She joyfully lives with her husband and three boys (when they're home) near Memphis, TN.
